2003 Greenville High School graduate Amanda Gish stopped by to visit with members of the Greenville Middle School Anime Club last week.
Ms. Gish currently works as a voice actor and has performed on several different anime series. One of her roles is the voice of Kinoko (aka Mushroom Girl) on the anime 'My Hero Academia'.
Many of the GMS students (and their teachers) are fans of the anime series and enjoyed hearing Ms. Gish talk about her experience as a cosplayer and voice actor. The students really appreciated hearing from someone who was not just from the same area but the same town and even spent time in the same school. Ms. Gish answered many questions about her favorite animes as well as her experiences as a voice actor and cosplayer while also giving her fans some tips on how to get into voice acting themselves and what to focus on as middle schoolers and soon to be high schoolers to break into the field of voice acting.
It's great to see Greenville's own Ms. Gish inspiring current students.
