Polk County Woman Arrested on Felony Drug Warrants; Meth, Stolen Truck Recovered During Search

On July 1, 2025, Polk County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division detectives, with assistance from Patrol Division deputies, arrested Lou Ann Hudson in the Southland Plantation area on two active felony drug warrants related to possession and manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance.

Hudson was taken into custody at her mobile home, where five additional individuals were present. Detectives observed a glass pipe in plain view inside her bedroom, prompting the issuance of a probable cause search warrant, signed by Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace Judge Sarah Rasberry.

The subsequent search uncovered more than four grams but less than 200 grams of methamphetamine in Hudson’s bedroom, resulting in a first-degree felony possession charge. In a separate bedroom, detectives found less than one gram of methamphetamine. Occupants of that room—Sherry Saunders, Ginger Richards, and James Robert Pipkin—were arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 <1g, a state jail felony.

Also on the property, a Dodge Ram pickup was discovered without wheels, tires, or an engine. A VIN check revealed the truck had been reported stolen in San Jacinto County. Information was forwarded to authorities there for follow-up investigation.

Arrests:

  • Lou Ann Hudson

    • Possession of Controlled Substance PG1 >4g<200g (Methamphetamine)

The mobile home has been the site of at least 16 narcotics-related arrests over the past four years. The Sheriff's Office has initiated civil seizure proceedings under Chapter 59 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure.

The investigation is ongoing.
