Greenville ISD Invites Community to Saturday Morning Coffee Talk with School Board President and Superintendent

Greenville ISD School Board President Aletha Kruse and Superintendent Sharon Boothe are eager to engage with the community in a more relaxed setting. Recognizing that not everyone can attend the formal School Board meetings, they have organized a Saturday morning coffee talk to provide an informal platform for communication.

The coffee talk is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 22 and will take place at Carver Elementary Cafeteria located at 2110 College St. This event aims to foster a sense of inclusion and encourage community members to participate in the district's activities.

To ensure an accurate headcount and facilitate arrangements, the organizers kindly request interested individuals to RSVP by July 20. This can be done by filling out the Google form.

During the coffee talk, the agenda will loosely follow the previous School Board meeting, allowing attendees to delve deeper into any topics or questions they may have. While there will be time allocated to discuss additional matters, it should be noted that certain subjects such as personnel and legal issues may require follow-up discussions as they might be sensitive or restricted.

Moreover, this event serves as an opportunity for the school board representatives to provide updates on ongoing projects and initiatives within the Greenville ISD. This ensures that community members stay informed about the district's progress and future plans.

The coffee talk is expected to create an open dialogue between the community and the school board leadership, allowing for a better understanding of the district's endeavors and addressing any concerns or inquiries that arise.
