The Greenville Independent School District (GISD) is inviting community members, parents, and guardians to join them for three special neighborhood gatherings featuring School Board President Aletha Kruse and Superintendent Sharon Boothe. These events will provide an opportunity to meet the district's leaders, ask questions, and receive essential information about registration and school supply lists for the upcoming academic year.
The gatherings are scheduled to take place on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at three different locations across Greenville. The schedule is as follows:
- Austin Park (1700 Wesley St.) from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
- Walworth Harrison Public Library (1 Lou Finney Ln.) from 9:40 a.m. to 10:40 a.m.
- Oak Creek Park (Aerobic Lane) from 11:00 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Attendees are encouraged to look for the yellow GISD school bus, which will be present at all three locations.
The gatherings are open to everyone who is interested in the betterment of the local schools, whether they are parents, guardians, or concerned community members. Aletha Kruse and Sharon Boothe are excited to engage with attendees, address their questions, and listen to any concerns they may have about the district's schools and educational programs.
By participating in these events, community members can stay informed and actively contribute to creating a thriving educational community in Greenville. The district encourages attendees to mark their calendars and spread the word among friends and neighbors to ensure a strong turnout.
