Greenville ISD announced Ramon Rodriguez has been hired as Police Chief starting the last week of April.
If the name sounds familiar, it's because Rodriguez was previously Police Chief in Greenville. In fact, Rodriguez who is a GISD graduate heped estrablish the district's police department back in 2016 and served as chief of police for six years.
In June 2022, Rodriguez accepted an offer from Caddo Mills ISD where he helped get the CMISD Police Department authorized by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.
Rodriguez replaces Oscar Serrato at Greenville ISD after Serrato was placed on administrative leave for not following "respect for confidentiality". Serrato has since moved on and is now employed by the Quinlan ISD as a police officer.
