Sulphur Springs Man Wanted for Outstanding Warrant Found Hiding in Closet, Girlfriend Arrested of Hindering Apprehension

On the morning of October 26, 2023, the Sulphur Springs Police Department responded to a residence on N Jackson Street following credible information that a subject with an outstanding warrant, Christopher Leon Huddleston, was located at the address.

Previously, officers had made contact with Constance Jean Huie, Huddleston's girlfriend, regarding his warrant and had advised her to contact the police if she ever saw him. Upon arriving at the scene, officers made contact with Huie, who indicated that she was unsure if Huddleston was inside the room she had just exited.

Police officers initiated a search of the residence and eventually discovered Christopher Huddleston concealed in a closet within the room. Both Constance Huie and Christopher Huddleston were taken into custody and subsequently transported to the Hopkins County Jail for processing.

Christopher Leon Huddleston, a 44-year-old resident of Sulphur Springs, has been booked into the Hopkins County Jail on a charge of Parole Violation.

Constance Jean Huie, a 40-year-old resident of Sulphur Springs, has been booked into the Hopkins County Jail on a charge of Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution, which is classified as a Felony of the third degree (F3).
