GREENVILLE, Texas — A local woman is facing heightened legal trouble across multiple North Texas counties following her arrest on outstanding warrants and new drug charges, law enforcement records show.
Lesley Louise Holmes, of Greenville, is currently held in custody at the Denton County Jail after Hunt County Sheriff’s deputies executed an arrest warrant at her residence on Friday, August 14. The warrant originated out of Denton County Criminal Court #4.
The arrest marks the latest in a series of legal complications for Holmes stemming from a December 2024 drug case.
Original Charges and Probation Default
Court records indicate Holmes was originally charged in August 2024 with possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 3 (less than 28 grams), a Class A misdemeanor. Penalty Group 3 under Texas law includes controlled prescription medications such as anabolic steroids or sedatives like Xanax.
In December 2024, Judge Chance Oliver placed Holmes on 13 months of deferred adjudication probation following a plea of nolo contendere (no contest). Terms of the agreement required her to complete 80 hours of community service, attend a drug education program, and pay $892 in fines and court fees.
However, prosecutors filed a Motion to Proceed with an Adjudication of Guilt in September 2025, alleging Holmes violated the terms of her community supervision. After she failed to appear for a November 2025 court hearing, Judge Oliver issued an active warrant for her arrest.
March 2026 Arrest Adds Felony Charges
Holmes remained wanted until March 31, 2026, when Greenville Police officers apprehended her on the probation revocation warrant.
During that encounter, law enforcement filed two additional charges against her:

Failure to Identify as a Fugitive with Intent to Give False Information: A Class A misdemeanor under Texas Penal Code § 38.02.

Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 2 (Less Than 1 Gram): A State Jail Felony covering controlled substances such as THC concentrates or MDMA.
Potential Consequences
With her transfer to Denton County, Holmes faces compounding legal proceedings across multiple jurisdictions.
If the original court grants the State’s motion to adjudicate guilt on the 2024 drug charge, Holmes loses her deferred status and could face up to one year in county jail. That penalty would stand in addition to potential state jail time for the pending felony charge and any separate proceedings in Denton County.
Holmes remains in Denton County custody awaiting court appearances.
