The City recently hired NewGen Strategies & Solutions to perform a cost-of-service study and rate analysis for the water and wastewater utility funds. The findings of this study identified that an increase in water and wastewater utility rates is necessary in order for the City to provide safe and reliable water and wastewater services to customers.
The City of Greenville strives to provide quality, safe, and reliable water and wastewater services in a cost-effective way while protecting our public’s health and water resources. The City Council approved a water rate change on Tuesday, September 13, 2022.
This change took effect on Saturday, October 1, 2022, and changes in billing were reflected on the November GEUS bill.
