A devastating accident occurred on the evening of October 12, 2023, on Interstate 30 near Campbell, resulting in the loss of three lives. The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that the incident involved a semi-truck traveling westbound on I-30 and a two-door passenger car.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the passenger car, for reasons yet unknown, pulled onto the highway directly in front of the semi-truck from the shoulder. The collision proved fatal for the occupants of the car, with all three individuals succumbing to their injuries at the scene.
The driver of the semi-truck escaped unharmed. The identities of the deceased have not been released pending notification of their families.
