Shortly after 3:15 pm on October 11, 2023, Sulphur Springs Police Department responded to a report of a trespasser at an address on Helm Lane. The subject, who had previously been banned from the property, was actively present on the premises, as confirmed by a Hopkins County Constable.
Upon arrival, officers were directed to the trespasser by a witness. The individual, identified as James Weston, 28, of Sulphur Springs, claimed he was at the location to make contact with a third party. However, officers informed Weston of his active criminal trespass status at the property. Subsequently, Weston was taken into custody and transported to Hopkins County Jail.
Weston has been booked into Hopkins County Jail on a charge of Criminal Trespass (MB).
