In the early hours of October 8, 2023, Hopkins County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a disturbance on County Road 1178, involving an intoxicated individual causing a scene. Upon reaching the scene, deputies encountered 33-year-old Ryan Taylor Brown of Sulphur Springs, who exhibited signs of extreme instability and emitted a strong odor of alcohol.
According to witnesses present at the scene, Brown was asked to leave the area due to his intoxicated state. Despite the warning, he entered his vehicle and collided with a tree before returning to the location. Brown's presence was unwelcome, and deputies deemed him a danger to himself and others.
Fearing for public safety, law enforcement officers took Brown into custody. He was subsequently transported to Hopkins County Jail. During the journey, Brown admitted to consuming multiple Michelob beers.
Ryan Taylor Brown faces charges of Public Intoxication in connection with the incident.
