The Sulphur Springs High School Wildcat Band participated in two marching contests on Saturday, showcasing their musical talents and dedication to the art of marching band.
In the morning, the band competed at Princeton, securing a spot in the finals. Later in the afternoon, they took the stage at Sunnyvale, where they not only qualified for the finals but also made an impressive mark.
During the Sunnyvale finals, the Wildcat Band exhibited their skills thrice and emerged victorious. They were named Grand Champions of All Classifications, a significant achievement that highlighted their exceptional performance. Additionally, the band received individual awards in various categories, including Best 4A Color Guard, Winds, Drum Majors, and Band.
The Region UIL contest is scheduled for October 10, 2023, in Mount Pleasant at 4:15 pm.
