On September 28, 2023, at around 6pm, deputies from the Hopkins County Sheriff's Office responded to a disturbance call at an address in Brashear. The call was made by a female resident reporting that her son, identified as 28-year-old Elijah King, was causing destruction inside their home.
Upon arrival, deputies found King within the residence and detained him to ensure the safety of all parties involved. According to the report, King stated that he and his mother were merely engaged in an argument. However, the female caller informed the officers that King had punched a hole in the wall, broken a picture frame, and damaged her phone.
