A road rage incident took place yesterday in south Hunt County, involving a white Nissan Altima and a Ford F-150. The incident, which unfolded near the Family Dollar on the intersection of FM751 and FM429, prompted a swift response from law enforcement agencies.

Hunt County Sheriff's Deputies and a West Tawakoni Police Officer were dispatched to the scene, with the West Tawakoni Officer arriving first to assess the situation. According to preliminary reports, the female driver of the Altima made startling claims to the officer, alleging that the occupants of the F-150 had kidnapped her child and that she had been pursuing them for a staggering distance of over 75 miles, originating from Lake Dallas.

Emergency medical personnel from AMR Hunt County were also dispatched to the scene to assess the well-being of all involved parties. All individuals involved were found to be physically unharmed.

However, subsequent investigations have revealed that the claims of kidnapping were unsubstantiated.

The woman, identified as Clara Luisa Sanchez, 35, was taken into custody and subsequently booked into the Hunt County Detention Center on a charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Sanchez, whose most recent listed address is in Lewisville, a mere seven miles from Lake Dallas, has an extensive criminal history. Her record includes prior arrests for robbery and fraud in Rockwall, possession of narcotics and absconding in Plano, and theft in Carrollton. Additionally, she has multiple state jail felony convictions spanning Rockwall, Dallas, and Collin Counties.

Records indicate that Sanchez's most recent incarceration took place in April of 2021, resulting in an 18-month state jail sentence. She was released from this sentence in October of 2022.

As part of the ongoing investigation, the Nissan Altima, which displayed temporary license plates, was impounded.
