The Greenville Police Department (GPD) has unveiled its comprehensive activity report for the month of July 2023, providing insights into the various incidents and operations conducted by the department over the past month.
In the realm of traffic enforcement, the GPD conducted a total of 860 traffic stops throughout July, reflecting the department's ongoing commitment to ensuring road safety within the community. Among these stops, 37 major accidents, 51 minor accidents, and 25 hit-and-run crashes were investigated by the dedicated traffic division.
Furthermore, the GPD responded to a staggering total of 3,256 calls for service during the month. This extensive engagement with the community underscores the department's dedication to addressing concerns and issues promptly.
In the realm of law enforcement, GPD reported a total of 109 arrests in July. These arrests covered a range of offenses, illustrating the department's commitment to upholding the law and maintaining public safety. Of note, 19 reported burglaries, 61 criminal trespass incidents, and 25 assault cases were among the incidents tackled by the diligent officers of the GPD.
Addressing matters of domestic violence and family welfare, the department dealt with 11 family violence incidents, highlighting the GPD's dedication to ensuring the well-being of all members of the community.
