Hopkins County Deputies Ask Property Owners to Check for Possible Theft Victimization

HOPKINS COUNTY, Texas - The Hopkins County Sheriff's Office is asking residents and landowners in western Hopkins County to inspect their properties following an investigation into a series of thefts in the area.

According to the sheriff's office, deputies are working to identify all victims and recover stolen property connected to theft cases in the Highway 11 West, FM 3134, and FM 275 corridors.

Investigators are urging property owners to carefully inspect barns, sheds, workshops, equipment, fences, and other outbuildings for signs of forced entry, missing property, or suspicious activity.

Authorities also encourage residents to take note of anything unusual or out of place, even if it appears minor.

The request comes as deputies continue investigating thefts believed to have affected multiple properties in the area.

Anyone who discovers stolen property, evidence of a break-in, or who recently observed suspicious activity in the affected area is asked to contact the Hopkins County Sheriff's Office at 903-438-4040.

Officials say information from residents could help identify additional victims and assist investigators in recovering stolen items.
