Three Arrested After Major Drug Bust Nets Cocaine, Marijuana, Guns in Sulphur Springs

SULPHUR SPRINGS, Texas — Three people were arrested Monday following a narcotics investigation that led to the seizure of drugs, firearms and cash, according to the Hopkins County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies executed a search warrant May 4th at an apartment complex in Sulphur Springs as part of an ongoing investigation led by Narcotics Investigator Tanner Steward.

During the search, authorities recovered a large quantity of illegal substances and contraband, including:

  • 309 grams of cocaine
  • 1,677.5 grams of THC vape pens
  • 73 grams of psilocybin
  • Approximately 15 pounds of marijuana
  • Two AR-platform rifles and one pistol
  • $73,294.02 in U.S. currency

Officials said three individuals were taken into custody at the scene. Their identities and charges have not yet been released.

The sheriff’s office credited the Hunt County Narcotics Unit for assisting in the investigation, noting the importance of regional collaboration in addressing drug-related crimes.

Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing and additional charges could be filed.
