HUNT COUNTY, Texas — A juvenile has been taken into custody and charged with murder after a woman was found dead during a welfare check in Caddo Mills, authorities said.
Officers with the Caddo Mills Police Department responded on April 14, 2026, to a residence for a welfare check, where they discovered a deceased adult female inside the home.
The Texas Rangers were called in to assist with the investigation.
Officials said a juvenile suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the case and charged with murder. No additional details about the suspect have been released.
The Caddo Mills ISD Police Department and the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office also assisted at the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing.
