Sulphur Springs, TX — Two juveniles have been arrested after a stolen truck and trailer were recovered following a multi-agency investigation in Hopkins County.
According to the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office, the theft was reported on March 8, 2026, when a truck and trailer were stolen from Beasley Street in Sulphur Springs.
Deputies later located the stolen trailer on FM 2297 near County Road 1104. Investigators with the Northeast Texas Auto Theft Task Force worked alongside Hopkins County investigators to identify suspects involved in the case.
During the investigation, authorities located and interviewed two juveniles believed to be connected to the theft. Investigators say those interviews led to the identification of additional suspects and helped develop a possible location for the stolen Dodge pickup.
The pickup truck was later recovered in Dallas with assistance from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Both juvenile suspects have been arrested and are currently being held at the Gregg County Juvenile Detention Center. Authorities said one of the juveniles had recently been arrested in connection with an engaging in organized crime investigation just weeks before this incident.
The investigation remains active and officials say additional arrests are expected.
