Greenville, TX – A 26-year-old Greenville resident arrested last week on serious child sexual abuse charges now faces an additional allegation as authorities continue their investigation.
Billzon Larry Cortez was initially taken into custody by Royse City Police officers on January 21, 2026, and booked into the Hunt County Detention Center. He was charged with Continuous Sexual Assault of a Child – Victim Under 14, a first-degree felony under Texas law. Court records indicate that Cortez posted a $150,000 bond the following day and was released.
The investigation did not end there. On Tuesday, January 27, 2026, Hunt County deputies arrested Cortez again at his residence in the 2300 block of Holsum Circle in Greenville, where he has lived since 2019 according to county records. The new charge is Child Grooming, with the alleged incident dated January 9, 2026. Bond for this additional offense has been set at $75,000.
