Rosalan Annette Nelson

GREENVILLE, TX - Greenville Police officers arrested a 56-year-old woman Saturday, December 27, after responding to a reported theft at a local business.

When officers arrived, they made contact with the suspect, later identified as Rosalan Annette Nelson of Greenville. Police say Nelson initially provided false information and refused to give her real name. After further investigation, officers were able to positively identify her and determined she had multiple prior theft convictions.

Nelson was booked into the Hunt County Detention Center at approximately 5:30 p.m. She is charged with Theft of Property under $2,500 with two or more previous convictions, along with Failure to Identify by giving false or fictitious information.

According to police records, Nelson has a lengthy criminal history spanning several counties, including Collin, Dallas, Hopkins, Hunt, Fannin, Kaufman, Rains, and Titus counties. This past summer, on June 12, 2025, she was arrested by a DPS trooper for driving without a license and failing to provide identification. In 2024, she was arrested by Greenville Police on charges of issuing a bad check and theft of property.

From 2000 through 2020, Nelson accumulated at least 17 arrests in Hunt County alone, primarily for fraud and theft-related offenses. In 2017, she was also arrested as a fugitive from justice on a warrant out of Howard County, Arkansas.
