COMMERCE, TX - Commerce police, assisted by East Texas A&M officers, arrested Chukwunonso Arize on Sunday, November 9, following a report of possible theft on the 800 block of Park Street.
Officers responded around 5 a.m., searched the area, and reviewed surveillance footage provided by property owners. They located Arize and his vehicle on the property. Investigation revealed that he had entered multiple vehicles, apparently attempting to steal them, and was found with tools believed to be used in vehicle theft.
While officers were on scene, Arize’s vehicle was reported stolen in Greenville, Texas. He was arrested for multiple charges, including outstanding warrants, burglary of a motor vehicle, possession of criminal instruments, and providing false information.
The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be filed. Commerce Police are coordinating with Greenville authorities regarding the stolen vehicle.
