Law enforcement investigators successfully tracked down and captured a wanted felon from Collin County, Kirk Scribner, along with two passengers in a vehicle on Gilmer Street in Sulphur Springs.
Upon locating the vehicle, authorities surrounded it as it pulled into the O’Reilly Auto Parts parking lot, effectively blocking its escape routes. All three occupants were ordered to exit the vehicle, and they complied without resistance. The two passengers were quickly verified to have no outstanding warrants and were released at the scene.
Kirk Scribner, the primary target of the investigation, was found to have an active warrant issued by Collin County for Continuous Violence Against Family. He was taken into custody and transported to the Hopkins County jail to await further legal proceedings.
