Wylie Police have charged three individuals with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity following a burglary at Lakeside Express convenience store.
On June 10, 2025, at approximately 3:10 a.m., a Wylie Police officer noticed a suspicious vehicle parked in front of the business. Upon investigation, the officer discovered a broken window and determined that a burglary had taken place. A search of the building revealed no suspects inside, and the parked vehicle was found to be unrelated to the incident.
When store employees arrived, officers reviewed surveillance footage showing three suspects entering the store around 12:30 a.m. Patrol officers recognized the individuals from previous encounters and coordinated with investigators to secure arrest warrants.
On June 11, 2025, 18-year-old Messiah Perez was arrested and charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. A 15-year-old male and a 15-year-old female were also arrested and charged in connection with the burglary. Due to their ages, the juveniles’ names have not been released.
The investigation remains ongoing.
