COMMERCE, Texas - A Commerce man was arrested Tuesday morning after police say he exposed himself to an adult woman and two children in a public area along Maple Street.
According to the Commerce Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 10:23 a.m. on July 28 after receiving reports that an adult male was exposing his genitals to people in a public place.
Officers arrived within minutes and, at approximately 10:25 a.m., located a man matching the suspect's description in the immediate area. While some officers interviewed the man, others began investigating the reported incident.
Police said the investigation determined the suspect had exposed his genitals to an adult female and two children.
The suspect was identified as 70-year-old Gerald Adams.
Adams was taken into custody and charged with indecent exposure, two counts of indecency with a child by exposure and an outstanding warrant from Fannin County.
The investigation remains ongoing.
