Hunt County Sheriff’s officials are seeking two suspects, a Hispanic male with gold teeth and a Hispanic female with short black hair, following an armed carjacking Sunday morning.

The victim reportedly picked up the suspects at the Buc-ee’s in Royse City, after they requested a ride to an apartment complex on Joe Ramsey Boulevard in Greenville. During the drive, the suspects brandished a weapon and stole the victim’s blue Ford Mustang, fleeing eastbound on CR1033 from US69.

A coordinated search involving multiple law enforcement agencies, including Hunt County Deputies, Celeste Police, DPS, Greenville Police, and Fannin County authorities, was immediately launched. Authorities initially believed the stolen vehicle might be disabled because the victim retained the key fob.

A little before noon, a Celeste Police Officer detained a Hispanic male near the intersection of US69 and US380, but he was determined not to be involved as he did not match the suspects’ descriptions. Investigators then focused their efforts on apartment complexes in Greenville, the suspects' initial destination.

Later, a resident spotted the abandoned stolen Mustang on CR 3507, south of Greenville.

The suspects are considered armed and dangerous, and the public is urged to exercise caution. Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts is asked to contact the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office at (903) 453-6800.
