The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) announced today the arrests of two fugitives who were on the state's 10 Most Wanted list. Hector Padilla Jr. was apprehended in Laredo on Sunday, April 20, and Rondarrius Evans was taken into custody in Downtown Dallas on Tuesday, April 22. No Crime Stoppers rewards will be paid in either case.
Hector Padilla Jr., 35, with a history of violent offenses in Webb County, including multiple aggravated assault convictions, was wanted for a probation violation since December 2024. DPS Special Agents located and arrested him at a Laredo apartment complex.
Rondarrius Davon Idae Evans, 21, who was recently added to the Most Wanted list, was apprehended in Downtown Dallas. A coordinated effort by DPS Special Agents, the Special Response Team (SRT), Mesquite Police Department, City of Dallas Fire Marshal’s Office, and the Dallas County Marshal’s Office led to his arrest based on investigative information. Evans was wanted out of Bowie County since August 2024 for two counts of capital murder related to a double homicide in New Boston on July 6, 2024. He also had a warrant out of Titus County for failure to appear in court for a prior drug offense.
