A multi-agency investigation into narcotics sales in the Commerce, Texas area has resulted in the arrests of three individuals and the seizure of a significant quantity of illegal drugs and a firearm.
The Hunt County Sheriff's Office, with assistance from the Hopkins County Sheriff's Office and the Commerce Police Department, began the investigation in January 2025.

On March 26, 2025, a narcotics-related search warrant was executed in the 1900 block of Washington Street in Commerce. During the search, approximately 130 grams of methamphetamine and 5 grams of cocaine were seized, and Mary Elizabeth Dean was taken into custody.
The investigation also targeted Antonio Deandre Davis (AKA: Dusty), 29, of Greenville, and Brooklyn Barton, 22, who were allegedly selling methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, and marijuana. Investigators determined that Davis and Barton were traveling to South Dallas to obtain narcotics.
A subsequent traffic stop at their residence in the 130 block of Highway 224 in Commerce resulted in the seizure of approximately 300 grams of methamphetamine and crack cocaine. Both Davis and Barton were arrested for Manufacturing or Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
A search warrant was then executed at Davis and Barton's residence, where additional methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, a firearm, and ammunition were recovered.
Davis' bond was set at $300,000, and Barton's bond was set at $400,000.
