Two Arrested in McKinney for Counterfeiting of Sports Memorabilia

Investigators with the Collin County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division executed a search warrant on January 15, 2025, at a residence in the 6000 block of Saint Michael Drive in McKinney, Texas. The operation was part of an ongoing investigation into the online sale of fraudulently manufactured and authenticated sports memorabilia.

During the search, investigators discovered fictitious certificates of authentication and thousands of sports memorabilia items falsely represented as genuine. The evidence uncovered corroborated allegations of widespread counterfeiting activity.

Two suspects, identified as Wendell Gidden-Rogers and Lisa Skolnick, were taken into custody at the scene. Both face charges of Trademark Counterfeiting, $30,000 - $150,000, a Third-Degree Felony under Texas law.

The Collin County Sheriff’s Office expressed its gratitude to the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI for their assistance in the investigation. The case remains under active investigation.
