On Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at approximately 7 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunshots near Ardis Street and West Ross. Upon arrival, officers discovered numerous shell casings scattered across the roadway.
The ensuing investigation identified Davontay Boss Walker as a suspect, leading to an arrest warrant being issued for the charge of Deadly Conduct Discharging a Firearm, a third-degree felony.
Officers obtained and executed a search warrant on a residence connected to the incident, where they located a handgun believed to have been used in the shooting. Walker was subsequently arrested and transported to the Hopkins County Sheriff's Office, where he was booked on the charge.
