A 16-year-old girl, Jordan Maceachran, who was reported missing on November 6, 2024, has been safely located and reunited with her family. Jordan was last seen at approximately 6:30 a.m. when she left her home on the morning of November 6 without her belongings. Authorities initially classified the case as a runaway, but due to the circumstances, it was quickly upgraded to a missing persons case, potentially involving endangerment.
The West Tawakoni Police Department initiated an extensive search, supported by the FBI’s Missing and Exploited Children Division, the Hunt County Sheriff's Department, and local law enforcement. An Amber Alert was issued, and the community was alerted to assist in locating Jordan.
The breakthrough came on November 10, 2024, when a family member brought Jordan to the West Tawakoni Police Department around 10:30 a.m. after locating her. At this time, investigators are working to determine where Jordan had been and if anyone had assisted her in hiding.
The West Tawakoni Police Department thanked the community for their swift response and valuable tips that helped reunite the teenager with her family. The department also reminded that harboring a runaway is a criminal offense punishable by fines and jail time. The family has requested privacy as they care for Jordan in the aftermath of the ordeal.
