On Tuesday, August 20th, Sulphur Springs Police arrested 45-year-old Vicente Dequence Bell of Winona following a traffic violation on Hillcrest Drive. Bell was wanted by both Gregg and Smith counties on outstanding warrants.
During his arrest, Bell complained of chest pains and requested EMS assistance. Emergency medical responders arrived on the scene, examined Bell, and cleared him. Despite being cleared, Bell requested to be taken to the hospital, where he was checked and later discharged. Officers then transported him to jail, where he was booked on charges of Bond Forfeiture for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
