Lab Testing Completed on Garland Dispensary Arrest

The Garland Police Department received a detailed lab analysis of previously acquired items sold at the bee Hippy Hemp Dispensary store at 701 Main Street. The police department has learned that some of the products were sold to patrons with the misinformation that these items were “legal” hemp products (containing less than 0.3% THC).

"The test results were alarming, and we felt an immediate need to create this announcement for the safety of our community.", said GPD officials.

Test results from some of the products sold inside the location showed high levels of THC, with some products testing as high as 95.3% THC. The police department is concerned that patrons of bee Hippy Hemp Dispensary may unknowingly ingest or possess high or dangerous levels of THC. This is especially true for minor children and for those who are unprepared for the side effects of acute intoxication.

Over 200 pounds of items containing an illegal level of THC, including prepackaged products, were confiscated by law enforcement officials during this investigation. If you have purchased any ingestible product from bee Hippy Hemp Dispensary, we recommend you immediately and safely dispose of the product.

Members of the public are welcome to anonymously drop off the product in our secure “Prescription Drop Off” bin located in our police lobby at 1891 Forest Lane; NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

The police lobby is open Monday thru Friday, 6 A.M. – 7 P.M. Saturday and Sunday, the lobby is open 7 A.M. – 7 P.M.

"This product is illegal, can be dangerous, and the public needs to be aware of this information."

The investigation into potential charges is ongoing.
