Mount Vernon Police are actively searching for two male suspects involved in the theft of fishing equipment from a local Cefco fuel center. The incident occurred at approximately 4:50 am on June 10, 2023.
According to the victim, two unknown white males stole his Lowrance HDS 12 live fishfinder, which is valued at $5,000. The equipment was taken from his bass boat while it was parked at the gas pumps. Surveillance footage captured the entire incident, providing crucial details for the investigation.
The footage reveals that the suspects arrived at the scene in a gray Toyota T110 pickup truck, prominently displaying a Lowrance sticker on the back windshield. While the driver of the vehicle entered the store, the passenger seized the opportunity to remove the Lowrance HDS 12 live from the victim's boat.
Descriptions of the suspects have been obtained from the surveillance photos. The driver, who wore a blue shirt, black pants, a black and white Columbia ball cap, and gray Under Armour shoes, can be seen clearly. The passenger, on the other hand, appears to be wearing either a pink or orange shirt with blue jeans.
