On Wednesday, July 17, 2024, Hopkins County Deputies executed a search warrant in the 200 block of McCann Street in Sulphur Springs. The search was part of an ongoing investigation into child pornography and bestiality.
During the search, the suspect, Ricardo Duran Bautista, confessed to the crimes. Investigators also found contraband images related to child pornography and other evidence supporting probable cause for arrest.
Bautista was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Hopkins County Jail. He has been charged with three counts of Possession/Promotion of Child Pornography and one count of Bestiality. The bond amount was set at $350,000.
