Three defendants chose to plead guilty rather than face a jury trial on June 10, 2024, in Upshur County. Meonca Eshulay Jones, 27, was sentenced to 40 years in prison for an offense on September 5, 2023. Robby Keith Hawkins, 42, received a 30-year sentence after being arrested on September 7, 2023. Jeremy Wyne Sanders, 44, was sentenced to 25 years for an offense on February 15, 2024. All defendants entered into plea bargain agreements and waived their right to appeal.
In addition, a jury was selected on June 10th for the trial of 60-year-old Allen Ray Reppond, who faces multiple counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child. Evidence in Reppond's case is set to begin on June 18, 2024.
