Crime Alert: String of Thefts and Trespassing in Kilgore

The Kilgore Police Department issued a warning to residents following a series of recent thefts and trespassing incidents in several residential areas. The affected neighborhoods include Stone, Rockbrook, Rim, Inwood, and the TownOaks Circle area.

According to reports, unidentified suspects dressed in dark clothing and masks have been spotted in the area. Surveillance cameras have captured the suspects engaging in various suspicious activities, including walking into garages, jumping fences, and snooping around people's properties with the intent to steal items. These incidents typically occur after 2 a.m.

In response to these incidents, the Kilgore Police Department has announced special patrols in the affected residential areas to apprehend the suspects. Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the police.

Detective Sergeant Goodson is leading the investigation and encourages anyone with relevant information or surveillance footage to contact the Police Department. Additionally, residents are advised to call dispatch at 903-983-1559 if they hear dogs barking during the late hours. In case of immediate danger, individuals are reminded to dial 911 and avoid confronting the suspects themselves.

Authorities believe that the suspects have been active for at least two days and are seeking the community's assistance in apprehending them. Residents are urged to cooperate with law enforcement efforts to ensure the safety and security of the affected neighborhoods.
