On May 20, 2024, Hopkins County Deputies responded to a call in Brashear on South Mill Street to serve warrants issued by Hunt, Collin, and Rockwall counties.
Upon arrival, they discovered 27-year-old Michael Dale Darland concealed under a bed. During transport,
Darland expressed potential ingestion of something, prompting deputies to take him to the hospital as a precaution before booking him into jail. He faces a $121,000 bond for multiple felony charges including Theft, Burglary of Habitation, Unauthorized Use of Vehicle, and Evading Arrest, totaling 10 warrants.
