Hopkins County Deputies arrested Retired Air Force Brigadier General Mike Houston McClendon on Saturday, May 11th, following a routine traffic stop. McClendon had been identified as a person of interest in a sexual assault investigation.
Once the Deputy was notified of McClendon's wanted status, he proceeded to take him into custody. McClendon was booked into the Hopkins County Jail on the charge of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child under the age of 14. His bond was set at $100,000 bond.
McClendon has already posted bail.
