On June 4, 2023, shortly before 11 pm, Sulphur Springs Police officers were dispatched to the Walmart in Sulphur Springs for a reported disturbance between several individuals.
Upon arrival, a Walmart Asset Employee informed the officers that several females were engaged in a physical altercation inside the store. Subsequently, a group of females left the premises in a vehicle, while another female chose to walk away on foot along Mockingbird Lane.
As one of the officers approached the area of Mockingbird Lane, they observed a female in the 1400 block who matched the description provided by the Walmart employee. To investigate further, the officer activated the emergency lights on their vehicle and attempted to conduct an investigative stop. However, the female continued walking and occasionally glanced back at the patrol vehicle. To prevent her from evading, the officer positioned their vehicle in front of her, brought it to a stop, and stepped out to request her compliance. Eventually, the female was detained and placed in handcuffs.

Meanwhile, three additional females identified as Talaila Shaver, Trinity Marie Shaver, and Zykeirra Colbert approached the scene on foot, voicing their objections and demanding the release of the female who had been detained. The officer instructed them to step back in front of the patrol vehicle, assuring them that an explanation would be provided. Despite the officer's commands, the three females persistently shouted at the officer, hindering his attempt to communicate. They were repeatedly warned to stay in front of the patrol vehicle and refrain from approaching the detained female. However, they continued to advance, attempting to push past the officer. Faced with their non-compliance, the officer warned that they would be handcuffed if they did not comply. As additional officers arrived at the scene, the three females persisted in their defiance and refusal to follow commands. Consequently, the officers made efforts to handcuff them, but encountered resistance as the females pulled their arms away, struggled, screamed, and kicked. Furthermore, they interfered with the officers' attempts to handcuff the others.
Eventually, all three females (Shaver, Shaver, and Colbert) were apprehended and transported to Hopkins County Jail. No further information regarding the fourth female, who was initially walking down Mockingbird Lane, was mentioned in any subsequent arrest reports.
