Hunt County Sheriff Deputies arrested 39-year-old Marcus Eugene Evans II of Quinlan on April 29, 2024, after a joint investigation with the Rains County Sheriff's Office after a church fire.
Evans had a warrant out of Wood County for Failure to Appear in a case involving Assaulting a Family Member and Impeding Breath/Circulation.
Additionally, he faces a new charge in Rains County for Arson Intending to Damage Habitation/Place of Worship. His bond was set at $150,000, and on April 30th, he was extradited to Rains County.
