Man Arrested for Alleged Terroristic Threats and Evading Arrest in Quinlan Incident

Dillon Joe Brown

Late Tuesday night, Hunt County Deputies responded to a disturbance call at a residence in Quinlan. Upon arrival, they discovered 24-year-old Dillon Joe Brown had allegedly made terroristic threats against family members. When authorities moved in to arrest him, Brown attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended after a short chase on foot. He was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Hunt County Jail.

Brown faces charges of Terroristic Threat of Family/Household and Evading Arrest Detention, with a bond set at $6,000. Additionally, a charge for Parole Violation, issued by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, was added. Records indicate Brown had been previously arrested by West Tawakoni Police on February 22nd for the parole violation, and was detained until March 15th.

This incident is not Brown's first encounter with law enforcement. In 2017, at the age of 17, he assaulted a Quinlan ISD Police Officer. Later that same year, he was arrested and convicted of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. In the past year, he has faced multiple charges for evading arrest.
