On Saturday evening, the Hunt County Sheriff's office responded to a report of gunfire, with a person claiming to have been shot in the hand by a stray bullet. Additionally, the caller disclosed that their vehicles and home had been hit by bullets.
Hunt County EMS and Cash Fire were dispatched to provide immediate medical aid to the injured individual.
After thorough efforts, the Sheriff's Office identified the source of the gunfire and apprehended two individuals. 37-year-old Michael Sutherland Gannaway and 42-year-old Josef Michael Baker, both from Greenville, Texas, were taken into custody.
Gannaway and Baker were booked into the Hunt County Detention Center on charges of Deadly Conduct Discharge Firearm, with a bond set at $15,000 each.
