Commerce Police Bust Driver for Drugs During Traffic Stop, 398 Grams of Meth Found

On April 6, 2024, Officer Morgan of the Commerce Police Department spotted a beige Chevrolet pickup on Monroe Street at Culver Street displaying two different license plates. Acting on suspicion, Officer Morgan conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Adrian Obrian Jackson.

While interacting with Mr. Jackson, Officer Morgan detected a strong smell of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted, leading to the discovery of a marijuana joint and 398.6 grams of methamphetamines in the vehicle. Mr. Jackson was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Driving While License Invalid with previous convictions. His bond for all charges was set at $203,750.
