In a targeted operation, authorities from the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office Special Crimes Division launched an investigation into drug trafficking activities at a residence on Pine Street in Commerce, Texas in March of 2024.
During the investigation, law enforcement officers noticed a high volume of traffic at the location, indicating potential drug sales. On April 3, 2024, investigators witnessed a suspected street-level methamphetamine dealer visiting the property and meeting with a mid-level dealer named Kenneth Eugene Henry. Shortly after leaving the residence, the individual was pulled over and found in possession of approximately 28 grams of methamphetamine.
Following this discovery, investigators obtained further evidence indicating significant drug distribution at the Pine Street address. Additionally, authorities uncovered that individuals associated with the location were employing counterintelligence tactics, had a substantial cache of firearms, and possessed military-style tactical gear.
Armed with this information, investigators secured a no-knock search warrant signed by a District Judge. On the morning of April 4, 2024, the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the Commerce Police Department, executed the warrant.
The search of the property revealed a large quantity of illegal substances, including approximately 197 grams of methamphetamine, 14 grams of cocaine, and 1 pound 10 ounces of marijuana. Officers also seized digital scales, drug packaging materials, a significant amount of US currency, and multiple firearms, including assault rifles. One of the assault rifles had a short barrel and a firearm suppressor. Additionally, tactical helmets, bulletproof vests, and military-grade ceramic rifle plates were recovered from the location.
Kenneth Eugene Henry was arrested and charged with Manufacturing or Delivery of a controlled substance (Methamphetamine) in Penalty Group one, with the amount exceeding four grams but less than 200 grams.
Kendall Marquell Henry faced charges of Manufacturing or Delivery of a controlled substance (Cocaine) in Penalty Group one (over four grams but less than 200 grams), as well as Possession of Marijuana (more than 4 ounces but less than 5 pounds).
