Sulphur Springs Officers responded to a reported assault at the 300 block of Helm Lane on Saturday, just before midnight.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that 35-year-old Timothy Jerald Bloodsoe of Greenville, the father of her child, had assaulted her. The victim recounted that Bloodsoe physically attacked her outside her apartment, and she sought refuge inside with her child, locking the door behind her. Bloodsoe forcefully kicked in the door and resumed the assault before fleeing the scene.
Police later located Bloodsoe, who had an outstanding arrest warrant. He was taken into custody and booked into the Hopkins County Detention Center on charges of burglary of a habitation with intent to commit another felony and driving without a license. His bond has been set at $30,000.
