Following a cyber-tip, the Collin County Sheriff's Office Child Exploitation Unit initiated an investigation that culminated in the arrest of Sean Day of Farmersville, Texas.
Day, employed as a custodian at Caddo Mills ISD, was apprehended on March 27, 2024. He faces charges of Possession with Intent to Promote Child Pornography, a 2nd-degree felony, to which he confessed during interrogation. Day was booked into the Collin County Detention Facility and has posted a $40,000 bond.
Electronic devices confiscated are currently undergoing forensic examination. As the investigation progresses, additional charges may be brought against Day.
Caddo Mills ISD was promptly informed of the situation and Day's employment was terminated. No Caddo Mills students were involved in this matter.
