On Tuesday, March 26, 2024, Hawk Cove Police Officers apprehended 68-year-old Frank Wayne Dill of Quinlan on drug-related charges. The Officer made a vehicle stop on Dill near the intersection of Northshore Rd and Crestview Estates. That's when Dill fled on foot.
During the pursuit, Dill tried to discard an item later identified as illegal drugs. During the chase on foot, an officer deployed his TASER on Dill. Hunt County EMS arrived at the scene to assess Dill's condition. He was booked into the Hunt County Jail.
Charges against Dill include Possession of Controlled Substance PG1/1-B (Meth), Tamper Fabricate Physical Evidence With Intent to Impair Investigation, and Evading Arrest Detention. His bond has been set at a total of $24,000.
