Caddo Mills Woman Detained After False Report of Armed Pursuit Leads to Emergency Response

Alesha Marie Sexton

In a late-night incident on Saturday, the Hunt County Sheriff Deputies and Caddo Mills Police Officers responded to reports of a woman claiming she was being chased by a man with a gun along CR 2134.

Before the officers arrived on-scene, Hunt County Dispatch received more call in reference to a female in the area of CR 2134 beating on the side houses.

Upon arrival, they located the female, but they were not able to find any male as she had stated on her 911 call.  The officers decided to detain the woman for further inquiry.

The detained individual, identified as Alesha Marie Sexton, 33, from Caddo Mills, Texas, was found to have an active warrant for Revocation of Parole for a previous Evading Arrest Detention conviction. Further investigation revealed that the reported chase was a false report by Sexton.

Sexton was booked into the Hunt County Detention Center on the warrant charge and a new charge for making a false report that induced emergency response.  Her total bond has been set at $5,500.
