The Hunt Memorial Hospital District Board of Directors has announced the cancellation of the upcoming election scheduled for May 4, 2024, in compliance with Section 2.053(a) of the Texas Election Code. This decision applies to the positions of two hospital directors from each of Commissioner’s Precincts One and Three, as well as one hospital director from the At-Large category.
The candidates listed below have been officially certified as unopposed, resulting in their automatic election to the respective positions:
- Dr. Scott M. Pierce | Precinct One
- Julia Wensel | Precinct One
- Leslie C. Killgore | Precinct Three
- Michael E. Taylor | Precinct Three
- John Cecil Nelson, Jr. | At Large
According to the announcement, a copy of this order will be prominently displayed on Election Day at each designated polling place that would have been utilized for the election.
